SendItToYou is a file-sharing service. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.
The short version: We collect minimal data, don't sell anything to anyone, and delete files automatically after their expiration period.
Information We Collect
Files You Upload
- We store files you upload on our servers
- Files are associated with a unique, randomly-generated ID
- We do not inspect, analyze, or view file contents unless required by law
- Files are automatically deleted after their expiration period (24 hours to 30 days depending on your plan)
Email Addresses (Optional)
- If you use our "email a link" feature, we collect the recipient's email address solely to send the file link
- If you create an account for a custom subdomain, we store your email address for authentication and billing
Payment Information
- Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc.
- We do not store credit card numbers or payment details on our servers
- We receive only confirmation of successful payment and basic transaction records from Stripe

Technical Data
- We collect basic server logs (IP addresses, browser type, access times) for security and debugging purposes
- Logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted
- We may use cookies for authentication (subdomain accounts) and basic analytics
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Store and deliver your files to recipients
- Process payments for extended storage and other premium features
- Send email notifications you request
- Authenticate subdomain account holders
- Maintain and improve the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Use your files for advertising
- Share your data with data brokers
- Mine your files for any purpose
Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate SendItToYou:

Security
We implement reasonable security measures:
- All data transmitted via HTTPS (encrypted in transit)
- Files stored with unique, unguessable IDs (not enumerable)
- Access to systems limited to authorized personnel
Important Limitations
Files are NOT end-to-end encrypted. This means:
- Files are encrypted during transmission (HTTPS)
- Files are stored on Cloudflare's servers
- We (the operators) and Cloudflare have technical ability to access stored files
- We do not routinely access files, but the capability exists
Recommendation: Do not upload highly sensitive, confidential, or legally protected material. If you require end-to-end encryption, this service may not be appropriate for your use case.

Files are permanently deleted from our systems after expiration. We do not maintain backups of expired files.
Your Rights
All Users
- Delete files: Simply don't share the link; files auto-delete at expiration
- No account required: Anonymous uploads leave no permanent record linked to you
Subdomain Account Holders
- Access: Request a copy of data we hold about you
- Correction: Update your email address through account settings
- Deletion: Cancel your subscription and request account deletion
- Portability: Request your data in a standard format

Children's Privacy
SendItToYou is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by:
- Posting the new policy on this page
- Updating the "Effective Date" at the top
- For subdomain account holders: sending an email notification
